The 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Sprint represents a real iconic early muscle car that formed the basis for the first 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang. This particular 2-owner example was purchased from the original Southern California owner who purchased the car new in 1963 from the Bob Kieffe Motors Ford Dealership in Lancaster, CA. From leaving the showroom, the Sprint has always lived in Los Angeles County. It has a clear California Title, documented owner history, and is ready to cruise and enjoy.

Highlights:

Exterior
his Sprint has had a complete mechanical, exterior, and interior restoration in the mid-1980s. The current second owner specializes in buying original California cars that are free of any rust or accident damage. He then goes thoroughly over the car and replaces anything and everything mechanically, electrically, or cosmetically out of order, essentially performing a ground-up freshening. This Sprint Coupe retains all of its ORIGINAL body panels, floor and trunk pans, stainless trim, chrome bumpers, Safe-lite window glass throughout. Finished in the ORIGINAL factory Wimbledon White paint, the chrome bumpers,

stainless trim, and badges are remarkably shiny, ding and blemish free. All new door, window, and roof rail weather stripping has been added.

Interior
The "dated" cloth upholstery on the front buckets and rear bench seat from the earlier restoration were replaced with new factory ORIGINAL stock pattern black vinyl with silver piping. The door and kick panels, as well as the headliner are in excellent condition and very presentable as is. All lamps, switches, and gauges are in proper operating condition; even the license plate lamp and the factory dash-mounted tach.

Engine and Driveline
The original factory 260 CID V8 and 2-Speed Fordomatic transmission were also updated during the restoration in favor of a professionally rebuilt 289 CID V8 and 3-Speed C4 transmission. The AC system is the original dealer installed unit from when the car was delivered. The AC compressor has been updated with a modern Sanden component utilizing 134A refrigerant, a new receiver-drier, and new condenser. Continuing with the drivetrain and suspension, the current owner added new 1 in. dropped front coil springs (the car now sits level), front and rear shocks, front disc brakes, and finished it off with a complete front end alignment. In the rear, new bushings were added to the leaf springs and the U-joints were replaced (this Sprint rides like it did in 1963). The undercarriage and suspension are currently being detailed and photos of these areas will become available shortly.

Wheels and Tires
The new wheels are REV 100 Classics 17X7 on all four corners mounted on new front 205X45X17 and rear 215X45R17 radial tires.
