This Jeepster was painted a Burnt Orange base coat, clear coat in 2006. The exterior finish is in remarkable condition with some minor dings in front of rear fenders. Body panels are straight with uniform gaps of the hood and doors. There is no evidence of rust or accident damage anywhere on the vehicle, it was never driven off road, and always garaged. All chrome and stainless trim pieces were replaced with new or originals that show very well. The bumpers were straightened and re-chromed; the rear bumper has "Willys Overland" inscribed. The undercarriage is painted black and free of any fluid drips and leaks.
The beige and camel vinyl interior is spotless and without any blemishes in the dash, seats, door and kick panels, or the underside of the convertible top. The dash has Toyota gauges, front bucket seats are from a Nissan Frontier. An AM/FM stereo and cruise control were added. A camel boot covers the manual top when the top is down. Windows have vinyl inserts. All instruments, switches, and lamps, are in their proper working condition.
Engine and Driveline
This Jeepster body was placed on a 1997 Toyota 4Runner, powered by a fuel injected 3.4L V6 4-Cam 24 Valve engine with 183 HP, backed by a 5-speed manual with 4WD, adjustable power steering, power disc front brakes and rear drum brakes. The rear differential is the limited slip 8.5 in. unit with 3.90 ratio an removable 3rd member. Suspension is factory stock Toyota 4Runner.
Wheels and Tires
Goodyear P265R70-17 Radials ride on custom 8-spoke chrome wheels.
