This is an All Steel Car throughout! The remarkable fit and finish was accomplished by completely separating all body panels, drip rails shaved, taillights lowered and molded, rear bumper tucked closer to body, shaved hood, filled cowl vent, smoothed running boards - all prior to the application of Torch Red base coat clear coat.
Featuring luxurious Tan Leather covering a Glide split-bench front seat, filled and smoothed dash housing with a full complement of vintage Classic Instruments gauges, NEW Vintage Air heating and air conditioning system with stainless hard lines, Gennie Shifter, Ididit Tilt Column, polished billet aluminum "banjo-style" steering wheel, Painless Wiring, Am/FM CD, Power Front Windows, and a completely finished trunk.
Engine and Driveline
Power is provided by a stock 350 Small Block Engine and stock TH-350 automatic transmission with a 2,200 stall converter. This extremely reliable motor and transmission combination was purchased brand new From GM Performance. The TCI fully boxed frame is equipped with a Heidts Superride II front suspension package providing the smooth ride and handling of independent suspension. Other components include polished tubular upper and lower control arms with chrome coilover shocks, power disc brakes in front with drum rears, 9" Ford rear end, leaf springs powder coated gloss Black, and a polished stainless steel fuel tank.
Wheels and Tires
The owner decided to pay homage to the blown Altereds and Gassers of the 1950s and 1960s golden age of drag racing with a set of fully polished Rocket Racing Wheels with cool vintage 3-Bar Knockoffs. The front runners are 10 spoke "Nostalgia Gasser" design while the rears are the "Injector" series; creating the perfect Big and Little combination.
