Starting with an original solid steel body, fiberglass fenders and running boards were fitted. The hood was custom louvered, door and trunk handles were shaved, and halogen headlights were added. Beautiful Torch Fire paint with clear coat was applied. There is evidence of very minor paint peel near the lower passenger door hinge. There are no accident damage or rust issues on the rock-solid body and frame of the car. The condition of the chrome trim and bumpers are rated at a 9 with no sign of pitting or dings.
The striking light tan vinyl interior was completely re-done by the current owner in 2012. The original configuration of the dash, door panels, and seating was maintained. The carpet, headliner, door panels, and seating surfaces show no evidence of visible wear, rips, stains, etc. The dash is fitted with custom VDO gauges, wood trim accents, billet knobs, AM FM stereo system and AC. The tilt steering column is topped by wood-rimmed custom steering wheel. The original crank-out, chrome framed windshield is operational with no leaks. Electric power windows are in the front with the original manual roll-ups in the rear.
Engine and Driveline:
Power comes from a late-sixties Chevy 350 cu. in. small block rated at approximately 325 HP. The show-quality engine compartment features a nice array of chrome and billet aluminum pieces, reliable HEI distributor, steel tube headers, and custom radiator shroud and electric fan. There is no evidence of fluid leaks. A Mustang II front end is fitted and backing the small block is a TH350 and Ford 9" Posi rear end believed to house 3.89:1 gears. NEW narrowed A-arms, bushings, wheels, and tires were installed in 2013.
Wheels and Tires:
Budnik "Rocker" 205/55/16 wheels (front) and 205/55/17 wheels (rear) are mounted on BFG Radial T/A tires.
