Newstalgia Motors Presents Car No. 00181:
1930 Ford Brookville All-Steel High-Boy Roadster
This offering is a very nice example a nearly completed 1930 Ford Roadster with
some unique and tasteful touches by an owner/builder that is well noted for his
meticulous attention to detail on all of his previous projects. All you have to
do is decide what exterior finish you wish to lay on to cover that smooth Brookville
Oxide Red Primer!
Details:
- Exterior: Starting with a new TCI chassis, the frame and all brackets
were powder coated. A Custom top was fitted by multiple Portland Roadster Show winner,
Ken Jones. The 4-piece louvered hood is by Rootlieb. '32 Ford headlights, grille
and grille shell along with '39 Ford tail lights compliment the Model A body and
provide the vintage, but cool look.
- Interior: Features pleated light grey naugahyde upholstery in completely
new condition. The carpet is matching grey material. The seat is a recently built
bench style. The dash is a 1932 Ford unit with Ford Motorsport gauges inserted in
a spun metal stainless Auburn oval style insert. Quick release steering wheel. A
new custom built custom built hotrod heater keeps the toes warm on those cruise-in
nights.
- Engine and Driveline: The 1990 Ford Mustang 302 cu. in./300 h.p
motor was rebuilt with a Roller Cam and Holley 4 barrel carburetor and has less
than 2000 miles. The exhaust system features custom powder coated headers with 36
in. long Florida stainless steel mufflers. The potent 302 is backed by a Ford C4
3-speed automatic transmission and an 8" Ford differential. Stainless steel A-arm
front suspension and 4-bar link rear suspension. "Whoa" power is handled by Corvette
power disc brakes.
- Wheels & Tires: New Orange powder coated spoke wheels (14"'
front, 15" rear) ride on B.F. Goodrich T/A radial tires.
If you want an all steel highboy that's all Ford and you can finish
it with minimal effort "your way" at a killer price, then this is it!
